Should Treatment Providers Be Required to Show their Outcomes to the Public?

What do you think would happen if all treatment providers were required to give their outcomes and make them public?

This is a common debate I have had for the past year and even as recently as today. I would like to know your opinion.

Currently, Providers are not required to show their true outcomes for the success of their programs. Just like how calories are required on a box of food with the warning labels and the benefit ads before you make a purchase, what about treatment providers of different levels of care?

Do you think if companies were required to produce their successful outcomes, then everyone would focus more on making his or her companies more efficient and it would help better the services they offer? Or do you think it is a bad idea and would create more liability? I would like your opinion on the matter.

Thanks,

Mel K
